How to get started - User guide

In order to successfully utilize this product, it is imperative that you fulfill the following prerequisites:

  1. Jira Service Management for Cloud: Ensure that your Atlassian Site has a subscription to Jira Service Management for Cloud, as this product is designed to seamlessly integrate with this platform.

  2. Licensed Jira Service Management User: To access and fully benefit from this product's capabilities, each user must possess a valid license for Jira Service Management. This ensures that you have the necessary permissions and access rights to leverage its functionalities.

These prerequisites are fundamental to ensuring a smooth and efficient experience with our product. Please ensure that these requirements are met before proceeding with implementation. Welcome on Board and thank you for using Organization Notes for JSM Cloud.

The primary aim of this application is to enhance the quality of customer service by empowering agents, improving communication, and streamlining knowledge sharing.

Upon the creation of a request from a specific organization, you will receive pertinent information and insights about that organization. This information may include guidance on how to handle requests from this particular organization, details on the processes or systems to utilize for support, or simply background information about the organization itself. This comprehensive knowledge equips you with a deeper understanding of the organization you are assisting, ensuring a more informed and effective support experience.

You can access more details about the organization by clicking Other details

The information about a organization can also be access by project admin from the organization page under the specific organization

 

Edit note from the issue view

Agent

You can edit the organization note directly from the issue view by clicking Edit note.

The Organization note field have a limitation of 2000 characters

This can be restricted by Jira admin to a view-only mode or completely restricted.

Edit the details and click Submit.

 

Add information to newly created organization from the organization page under customers

Project Admin

As project admin you can edit organization notes for existing and new organizations. To do that you need to go to the organization page of the organization you want to edit. You can find the organization under the Customers page in the JSM project.

Click on the name of the organization you wish to add information to.

From here you are able to add information by click Edit Note.

Add the details and click Submit.

 

 

Afterwards agent will be able to access the notes in request where the specific organization is chosen. Project admins can as well access the from the organization page.
